Wildlife Photography

Safaris hold a very special place in my heart. Having visited local Game Parks with my family, since I was a little boy, being in the bush has become my solace. I have been taking wildlife photos for well over 25 years and especially love creating art which showcases animal behaviour combined with the play of light and shadow.

There is something so beautiful about being in the bush. Whether it’s the unpredictability of every single day, the crisp fresh air on your face on a morning game drive, or the guttural roar of lions at night competing with the crackling of the campfire, every moment is incredibly memorable.

With every year that passes, I feel like the Planet Earth is becoming more fragile, and more under threat from humans. The upcoming generation needs to love and care for the wild more than any generation ever has. I love to showcase the beauty of the animal kingdom through my imagery, with the hope that it will bring awareness to the importance of saving this beautiful place we call Mother Earth.

Wildlife photography has taught me a lot of virtues which I directly apply to my day to day life, relationships with my family and friends, or even shooting weddings - whether it’s the importance of patience, respecting nature or understanding how light works in a very intricate manner.

I love all wildlife and believe that all animals are created equal – except the leopard which is a bit more equal than the others :-).
